NIO swap stations exceeding 1,100 with 30,000 battery exchanges per day on average


It is learned from Chinese media, the total number of NIO battery swap stations has officially exceeded 1,100.

According to NIO, it will continue to deploy in the future to provide users with a more convenient power-up experience. NIO users have exchanged power more than 12 million times in total, and the current average daily power exchange exceeds 30,000 times. On average, a car leaves the power swap station with full power every 2.8 seconds.

The data shows that NIO has deployed 1,103 battery swap stations, 1,004 super-charge stations, 5,367 super-charge piles, 877 destination charging stations, and 5,470 destination charging piles across the country, with access to over 570,000 third-party charging piles nationwide.

As reported, NIO’s power exchange service covers all provincial-level administrative regions in mainland China, and the coverage rate of 208 prefecture-level municipal power districts reaches 64.13%. NIO refers to the residence within 3 kilometers of the power swap station as the “power zone residence”.

NIO pointed out that in 2022, NIO will build a total of 1,300+ battery swap stations in the Chinese market, and by 2025, it will build a total of 4,000 battery swap stations around the world, allowing 90% of NIO users to live in “power zone residence”.
