On the afternoon of the 15th, Li Ganjie, Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, and Zhou Naixiang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Shandong Province, visited the EHang booth area during the exhibition tour, made a detailed understanding of the application of EHang intelligent AAVs in the development of cultural and tourism integration, and asked about questions.

The relevant person in charge of EHang made a report on the work progress in the application of EHang intelligent autopilot in low-altitude sightseeing scenarios, assisting low-altitude economic development and airworthiness certification.

Main leaders from the relevant departments of Shandong Province and Jinan City also participated.

According to reports, low-altitude tourism is a hot sector in the cultural tourism industry in recent years. The government has issued many policies, the enthusiasm of enterprises for investment is high, and the market demand potential is large.

In January 2022, the State Council issued “14th Five-Year Plan for Tourism Development”, putting forward the improvement of development policies such as low-altitude tourism, and pointing out that it is necessary to promote the construction of general aviation tourism demonstration projects and aviation flight camps, and to promote the integrated development of general aviation and tourism.

In June, the Civil Aviation Administration of China released “14th Five-Year Plan for General Aviation Development”, proposing to focus on the development of low-altitude tourism and encourage recreational flying for personal use. It will also support the cultural and tourism authorities to expand the coverage of scenic spots such as aerial tours, and establish a low-altitude tourism network connecting scenic spots, resorts, theme parks and other tourist destinations.

The relevant person in charge of EHang said that this time, EHang came to Jinan, Shandong to participate in the Expo, and also hoped to seek more opportunities for cooperation and landing in Shandong.

“Shandong has superior geographical conditions and rich tourism resources. Whether about low-altitude tourism or other autonomous aviation applications, it has huge potential. In August this year, Qingdao Civil Unmanned Aviation Test Base has been selected into the second batch of National Civil Unmanned Aviation Test Base (Test Area) List by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. At present, the company is actively carrying out in-depth discussions on the implementation of relevant business formats with Qingdao City. It will make further deployment to fully serve the development of Qingdao’s low-altitude industry in the future. It is believed that in the future, EHang will take Qingdao as the starting point, so that Shandong will have broader development prospects in the field of unmanned aviation. ” The relevant person in charge of EHang said.

On a separate but related note, earlier in August, a delegation led by Lu Zhiyuan, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Party Committee, also visited Guangzhou EHang Intelligent Technology Park for exploring business opportunities with EHang.

Lu Zhiyuan and his delegation visited EHang EH216, accompanied by Fang Xin, Chief Operating Officer of EHang
