EHang invited by technology and investment group e& for “Air Taxi” EH216 exhibition at GITEX GLOBAL in Dubai


It is reported by EHang, from October 10th to 14th, 2022, the 42nd GITEX GLOBAL, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, was held at Dubai World Trade Center in UAE. The event focuses on seven multi-tech themes experimenting in Metaverse, a decentralized internet future, and a sustainable global digital economy. The latest technologies in 5G, artificial intelligence, cloud technology, cybersecurity, fintech, blockchain, data analytics and smart cities were showcased on site.

As a hot new technology form in recent years, the urban air mobility UAM industry has attracted significant attention at this technology exhibition. As one of the representatives of the UAM industry, EHang’s EH216-S passenger autonomous aircraft was invited by the well-known technology and investment group e& (formerly known as Etisalat Group) to showcase safe, autonomous and environmentally friendly urban air mobility solutions to the world. It attracted a large number of on-site audiences to stop and understand, and this China’s “air taxi” won unanimous praise.

GITEX, which started in 1982, is one of the largest and most successful computer, communication and consumer electronics exhibitions in the Middle East. It ranks among the three major IT exhibitions in the world, gathers and attracts major well-known brands in the global IT industry to participate, and profoundly influences and leads the industry trend. GITEX has attracted more than 5,000 well-known companies from more than 90 countries around the world to participate in the exhibition, with an unprecedented scale.

EHang has been attracting attention overseas. As early as 2018, EH216-S had a flight demonstration in Doha, the capital of Qatar in the Middle East. Just prior to the UAE GITEX GLOBAL technology exhibition, EH216-S has completed its flight demonstration in Spain, successfully achieving the goal of the EU AMU-LED project. So far, EHang’s passenger autonomous aircraft has completed flight demonstrations in 12 countries around the world, covering three continents: Asia, Europe and North America.
