On November 10, 2022, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Emergency Response jointly issued “14th Five-Year Plan” Special Plan for Scientific and Technological Innovation of Public Security and Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (hereinafter referred to as the “Plan”) (source: Ministry of Science and Technology website).
Today on November 16, XYEHang reported the plan. It is understood that the plan focuses on the research and development of air emergency rescue and intelligent autonomous emergency rescue technology and equipment. This is relevant to the business areas of XYEHang and EHang with corresponding products such as EH216F and Falcon AAVs.
The “Plan” proposes five specific goals, including:
– deepening applied basic research;
– overcoming key technologies for risk prevention and control of major disasters and accidents;
– developing monitoring and early warning and emergency rescue technical equipment;
– building a high-level scientific research and innovation base; and
– cultivating a high-level scientific and technological innovation talent team.
It clearly strengthens the innovative application of cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, industrial Internet, artificial intelligence and other digital technologies in the research and development of major disaster accident monitoring and early warning and emergency rescue technology and equipment.
