On January 3, 2023, EMapGo reported that on December 20, 2022, the “Automotive Cloud Special Salon and Automotive Industry Software R&D Efficiency Maturity Model Standard Conference” hosted by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology was successfully held.
At the meeting, a software engineering community on the cloud – the Automotive Cloud Working Group was established, and the industry’s first “Automotive Industry Software R&D Efficiency Maturity Model Standard” was officially released. EMapGo became one of the first batch of 29 enterprise members announced by the Automotive Cloud Working Group, and Tang Yonglin, vice president of EMapGo, was selected as the first batch of technical experts of the working group.
At present, software-defined automobiles and data-driven software development processes have basically become the consensus of the smart automobile industry, and the improvement of automobile software research and development efficiency has become the key to continuous delivery of vehicle software. Cloud computing plays an important role in the fields of data transmission and storage, edge computing, and data compliance management of smart cars. The automotive cloud can provide lifecycle management and support for automotive software. How to effectively improve software development efficiency and ensure its security is a major issue that will be faced in the post-smart car era.
The software engineering community on the cloud—Auto Cloud aims to promote the innovative development of software quality assurance and performance improvement in the automotive industry in the cloud era, comprehensively explore cloud solutions for vehicles, jointly build the ecology of the automotive cloud standard system, and promote the excellent practice of ” vehicle-cloud integration”.
The “Automotive Industry Software R&D Efficiency Maturity Model Standard” jointly formulated by EMapGo and Tencent Cloud CODING and other more than 50 leading cloud enterprises, car company technical representatives, and scientific research units was released as the result of this working group. It provides guidance for the development efficiency and system stability of software on the automotive cloud, and also lays a solid foundation for the subsequent improvement of the capabilities of the automotive industry’s software life cycle management, continuous integration, and data security.
