BYD: Plans to launch foreign exchange derivatives hedging business with US$4.5 billion

According to Interface News, BYD announced on February 1 that the company and its holding subsidiaries intend to carry out foreign exchange derivatives trading business with a quota of 4.5 billion US dollars or other equivalent foreign currencies.

The quota usage period shall be within 12 months from the date when this matter is considered and approved at the 30th meeting of the seventh session of the board of directors.

The above quota can be used on a rolling basis within the term, but the investment balance at any point within the term shall not exceed US$4.5 billion or other equivalent foreign currencies; It is estimated that the balance of funds occupied by the transaction margin and premium used at any point within the time limit shall not exceed RMB 1.5 billion or other equivalent foreign currencies.
