After Jidu Auto jointly created by Geely Auto and Baidu announced that its products will be equipped with the comprehensive capabilities of Baidu Wenxin Yiyan, a number of car companies have officially announced their entry into the Baidu Wenxin Yiyan ecosystem, according to Securities Times.

Wenxin Yiyan is a generative dialogue product launched by Baidu based on Wenxin large-scale model technology, known as the Chinese version of ChatGPT. The product will complete internal testing in March 2023 and open to the public.

Recently, nearly 300 leading companies in the Internet, media, finance, insurance, automobile, enterprise software and other industries have announced to join Baidu’s Wenxin Yiyan ecosystem.

On February 20, Geely Auto and Aiways Auto announced that they will officially join the Baidu Wenxin Yiyan ecosystem. Among them, Geely stated that it will be the first to experience and apply Baidu’s leading intelligent dialogue technology achievements in the field of artificial intelligence communication and dialogue of Geely Galaxy’s new intelligent cockpit system.

It is reported that Geely Galaxy is a new mid-to-high-end new energy brand established by Geely. The first model is named Galaxy L7, which is positioned as a “smart electric hybrid SUV”. The brand will be officially unveiled in the near future.

Geely said that the cooperation with Baidu Wenxin Yiyan marks that Geely Galaxy smart electric vehicles will be supported by leading AI technology. Baidu WenxinYiyan’s dialogue language model technology will also realize the new experience of artificial intelligence interaction in the main Geely Galaxy series.

Similarly, Aiways will also integrate the ability to access Wenxin Yiyan through Baidu’s Apollo in-vehicle series products, promote the improvement of Aiways AI travel ecological construction, and work together to create large-scale AI interaction based on intelligent travel scenarios, providing new AI travel experience to Aiways users in more than 20 countries around the world.

It is reported that at present, Aiways has created a car smart cockpit with AI-Cabin as the core. In the future, the company will also plan a new generation of vehicle intelligent systems with “operable hardware, programmable scenarios, scalable systems, and subscription-based ecosystems” to continuously provide users with hardware upgrades, smart experiences, and digital service upgrades.

An insider of Aiways told the Securities Times reporter that Baidu’s Wenxin large model ERNIE has deep semantic understanding and generation capabilities across modalities and languages, and Wenxin Yiyan is a generative dialogue product launched by Baidu based on this model technology. With the “blessing” of this leading AI technology, the Aiways AI interactive system will be fully upgraded, and the conversational language model technology will also become part of the Aiways AI smart travel ecosystem.

It is noted that recently, Dongfeng Nissan, Hongqi Motors, Haima Motors, Great Wall Motors, Lantu Motors, etc. have all announced that they have become the first batch of ecological partners of Baidu Wenxin Yiyan. In the future, these car companies will fully experience and access the ability of Wenxin Yiyan in the field of car ecology, and promote the further upgrade of smart car interaction.
