The battery charging company under Xpeng increased its capital to 5 billion yuan to accelerate the layout of the charging network

According to news on March 7 from China Quality News Network, Qichacha data site shows that Guangzhou Xiaopeng Smart Charging Technology Co., Ltd. has undergone industrial and commercial changes recently, and the shareholder has changed from Guangzhou Pengzhi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. to Guangzhou Penghui Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. At the same time, the company’s registered capital increased from 258 million yuan to 5 billion yuan.

It is reported that Xiaopeng Smart Charging Company was established in June 2020, and its legal representative is Xia Heng (co-founder of Xpeng). The company’s business scope includes energy-saving technology development services, installation and management of charging pile facilities; sales of charging piles; battery sales; battery charging services for electric vehicles; automobile battery leasing and other businesses.

The equity penetration chart shows that Xiaopeng Smart Charging Company is indirectly 100% owned by XPeng Charging (Hong Kong) Limited.

With the increase in sales, Xpeng is stepping up the layout of the basic charging network. In August last year, Xpeng held a super power charging conference, announcing its layout in the fields of technology research and development, service experience, charging network construction, etc., and launched the S4 ultra-fast charging pile, which can achieve 200 kilometers of battery range in 5 minutes of charging.

As of March 1, 2023, Xpeng have accumulatively deployed 1,948 charging stations. Among them, there are 816 Xpeng self-operated supercharge stations; 202 Xpeng self-operated destination stations; and 930 third-party stations (free benefits are available).

This year, Xpeng plans to complete S4 ultra-fast charging network coverage in key cities and core expressways across the country. In addition, the company also plans to reach the goal of building another 2,000 ultra-fast charging stations by 2025. The rapid layout of Xpeng’s charging network will provide more convenient energy replenishment services for the car owners and relieve users’ battery range anxiety.
