It is learned on April 6 from IT Home that the spy photos of the new coupe SUV model G6 under Xpeng have been exposed. The car will be officially unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show held from April 18 to 27, and will be officially released and delivered at the end of the second quarter of this year. It is expected to be in the range of 200,000 to 300,000 yuan.
Xpeng today announced the appearance of the new Xpeng G6 front face, showing the effect of the G6 ring light strip. Judging from the image, this car is different from the G9’s penetrating light strip. The new car light strip is divided into two sections by the logo, and the car logo will most likely not emit light.
It is understood that the Xpeng G6 has already appeared in the previous Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s new car catalog. The new car is based on the third-generation F platform of Xpeng and is positioned as a medium-sized coupe SUV.
In terms of appearance, the overall shape of the Xpeng G6 is similar to that of the Tesla Model Y, but it still continues the latest generation of Xpeng’s family design language. The front face adopts Xpeng’s iconic penetrating LED light strip and split headlight design. The car uses hidden door handles, and the roof adopts a slip-back design.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4753*1920*1650mm, and the wheelbase is 2890mm.
In terms of interior, according to the previous spy photos of the interior, the biggest change is the replacement of the floating central control screen.
In terms of power, the new car provides two options of single motor and dual motor. The single motor version has a peak power of 218kW, and the dual motor version will add a drive motor with a maximum power of 140kW, with a maximum speed of 202 km/h.
In terms of batteries, the new car will be equipped with the ternary lithium battery of Zhongxinhang. In addition, the new car is built on an 800V high-voltage SiC platform and has the same 800V fast charging technology as the Xpeng G9.
In terms of intelligent driving, the new car is expected to be equipped with Xpeng’s advanced intelligent interconnection and intelligent driving functions.
At present, Xpeng has opened up “full-scenario assisted driving”, including highway NGP, urban NGP, LCC enhanced version and other functions such as intelligent assisted driving. It is expected that these functions will appear on Xpeng G6.
In addition, CEO He Xiaopeng also disclosed some important information about Xpeng G6 at the 2022 annual financial report.
Xpeng’s integrated die-casting technology will be applied to the Xpeng G6 to further control manufacturing costs.
