It is learned on April 29 from Dubai CATV Weibo account that On April 28, Abu Dhabi-based manufacturer Monarch Holding and China’s leading autonomous air mobility (AAV) technology platform company EHang have reached a cooperation to jointly establish the Middle East and North Africa region’s first sustainable electric aircraft and drone production and operation facility in Abu Dhabi to serve the needs of passenger and cargo transportation.

The two parties will work together to develop sustainable electric aircraft and drones, build an autonomously managed air mobility command and control center, and establish infrastructure, verti-ports (takeoff and landing pads) and facilities to operate electric aircraft and drones.

Hussein Ali Alomira, founder and chairman of Monarch Holding, said the project will support Abu Dhabi’s future transport industry, in line with the government’s vision to strengthen smart city infrastructure. It provides a new concept for cargo and passenger transportation, using advanced technology, artificial intelligence and sustainable energy to achieve zero carbon emissions.
