On May 2, NIO reported that at the just-concluded 48th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, NIO has won two awards, one gold and one silver, from more than 1,000 inventions from more than 40 countries and regions for its “NIO Energy Cloud” and “Highway Pilot Battery Swap”.
The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is jointly organized by authoritative organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Swiss Federal Government. It is one of the oldest and largest invention exhibitions in the world, and it is also an important display stage for the latest invention products in the world, enjoying a high reputation worldwide
“NIO Energy Cloud” won the Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva
NIO Energy Cloud has more than 200 patents. It intelligently connects data from vehicles, batteries, power swap stations, charging piles and road service commissioners. Based on network collaboration, it forms a distributed collaborative network composed of users and energy nodes. Through data intelligence, energy can be efficiently transferred in the nodes of the network. According to the needs of users, an optimal power-up scheme can be adaptively formed to maximize the release of user time, and provide an energy service experience that understands you, is at ease, free and extremely easy to use.
“Highway Battery Swap” won the Silver Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva
The highway pilot battery swap function has more than 20 patents, realizes the connection to NOP+, automatically enters the service area from the expressway, and automatically swaps the battery. In an unfamiliar highway environment, it solves the problems of missing the off-ramp and finding a stop. It is expected that in the second half of this year, the highway pilot battery swap function will gradually cover the national highway battery swap stations, connecting the whole journey of highways, and truly realize the uninterrupted point-to-point pilot assistance in highway scenes, bringing you a new experience.
Since its establishment, NIO has always insisted on independent innovation, and has continued to invest in research and development in the field of battery swap. It has more than 1,500 patents related to battery replacement.
On December 28, 2022, NIO’s “Key Technology and Industrialization of Efficient and Safe Electric Vehicle Battery Swap” won the first prize of the 2022 China Society of Automotive Engineers Science and Technology Progress Award. The award at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is another affirmation of NIO Power technology and application by industry experts.
As of May 2, 2023, NIO has deployed 1,384 battery swap stations and 15,137 charging piles across the country, and connected to more than 700,000 third-party charging piles.
In 2023, the plan of 1000 stations and 10,000 piles is being continuously deployed to provide users with a more efficient power-up experience and make power-up more convenient than refueling.
