The new car is positioned in the high-end market, and will focus on the European market, which is more recognized for station wagons. According to the planning of the ET5 Safari Edition, the car may be launched in Europe in June or July.

Previously, the car had appeared in the new car catalog of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The new car continues the design of the ET5 as a whole. The front half of the body is consistent with the sedan version.

In addition, as one of the symbols of NIO’s second-generation models, the NIO ET5 Safari Edition is also equipped with a watchtower-style lidar, which will serve as the perception hardware for driving assistance functions.

In the rear part of the car, the ET5 Safari version is quite different from the current ET5 sedan version, with a larger rear compartment opening and a larger rear trunk space.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the NIO ET5 Safari Edition are 4790/1960/1499 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2888 mm, which is consistent with the current ET5 sedan version.

Previously, NIO Qin Lihong revealed that the NIO ET5 Safari Edition will be released in Europe in June-July, and the new car is based on the ET5 sedan version. He said that the station wagon version is a car developed for Europe, because station wagon cars are a big market in Europe.
